Julie’s Panciteria, formerly JK’s Panciteria is located at Cataggaman Viejo, Tuguegarao City.

They serve Pancit Batil Patung, a popular noodle dish from Cagayan’s capital.

It is made up of Miki Noodles, Ground Beef, Liver, Vegetables, topped with Karahay or Chicharon and Poached Egg.

Served with Egg Drop Soup and best paired with a sauce mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi and chopped onions.

The name Batil Patung is derived from the Ibanag word “Potun” which means patong or place on top.

You can find a Panciteria in almost every Barangay in the City. There are hundreds to chose from.

In Cataggaman, you can eat at Lamud’s Panciteria, Julie’s Panciteria, Kinse Panciteria, Old Skul Panciteria and many more.

This has become a staple for the Cagayano people.

With it’s expansion in the country, the dish symbolizes the culture of Tuguegarao.

Me and my family go there and would get a meal of Pancit every once a while.

Here are some pictures of Pancit Batil Patung I took from Julie’s Panciteria:
